Landscapes and Freshwater Systems

Our research focuses the effects of landscape pattern on ecological processes in freshwater and terrestrial systems. Much of this work involves geospatial approaches from landscape ecology and geography, such as remote sensing, spatial analysis, and geographical information systems (GIS).

Our projects are organized into several research themes, including landscape patterns and disturbance, spatial ecology of freshwater ecosystems, and water temperature in rivers and streams.
