About Us

The CFS was established to provide scientific support for natural resource managers, especially those in the U.S. Department of the Interior, such as the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation, and to complement research and graduate instruction in the College of the Environment at the University of Washington. CFS researchers work closely with a wide variety of natural resource managers and university faculty, graduate students, and staff.
