Welcome
to the Olympic Field Station of the USGS Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem
Science Center. This field station provides scientific research and
the technology needed to support sound management and conservation
of natural resources, with emphasis on national parks of the Pacific
Northwest. Field Station staff are involved in a variety of research
projects aimed at improving understanding of ecosystems of the Pacific
Northwest and developing long-term ecological monitoring protocols
for national parks of the region.
